A landscape crossed by bold colours. Nothing is defined, everything is fluid, almost in balance.
A black rabbit is floating above, suspended by metal wires.
It does not look at the world. It looks at itself. A nonchalant presence, free, set apart from our certainties.
A landscape crossed by bold colours: vibrant pink, acid yellow, suspended lights. The contours are blurred, almost erased.
Something is there nonetheless: a form, a memory, an uncertain ground. Nothing is defined, everything is fluid, almost in balance. Suspended by invisible threads, a black ceramic rabbit is floating above.
It does not look at the world. It looks at itself.
Lying in a nonchalant, almost majestic posture, it seems to ignore the turmoil. Indifferent — or simply somewhere else.
at home, in Provence, where it is seen as a pest.
But I find it magnificent. Present, amusing, free.
I wanted to depict it neither as a victim nor as a symbol, but as an autonomous figure, detached, sheltered from our judgements. It is there, above what we think we know. Far from classifications, from regulations. A little too alive, maybe. A little too free.
I do not seek to explain.
I draw a space.
A shift.
A suspended moment, on a par with uncertainty.
